Development

After reflecting on my mood board, I decided I liked the idea of mixing retro and contemporary together so came up with this idea for my speakers. I needed to take into consideration the size and weight as they are portable speakers. I also looked at materials and for the contrast of old and new mateials to give the retro- contemporary style.

I needed to work around the measurements for the speakers as I was already given the componets as a package.

My intial design for the retro tape was okay and only needed a few tweeks and thought processes.

One of which was how i was going to make the box with the acrylic shell around the outside.










I also made development changes to my produce during the manufacturing stage. One was the laser transfer front. As the sticker would not take to the wood, I cut out a piece of acrylic and transfered the image onto that rather than having it directly on the front of the speakers.
